Alissa M. Irons, OD
Dr. Irons was raised in Belen, New Mexico and graduated from Belen High School in 1990. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree from New Mexico State University in 1994. Dr. Irons received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2000. Dr. Irons was very active in optometry school where she was a member of Contact Lens Society, Omega Delta Fraternity, Student Government, SCO-New Mexico Liaison and American Optometric Student Association. Dr. Irons was also awarded Southern College of Optometry’s Clinician of the Year in 1999 and given the Vision Service Plan Excellence in Primary Care Scholarship. She did her internship at a private practice in Millington, Tennessee and Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Irons took over Dr. Jack Felter's practice at 718 Lomas NW in Albuquerque, NM on January 1, 2002. She employs six full-time employees, including Jessica, Cindy, Christina, Ginni, Amanda and Tom who have all been loyal staff to her.
Dr. Irons is licensed in therapeutic and diagnostic drugs and is a member of the New Mexico Optometric Association. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Vision Source! Network of primary eye care providers. Dr. Irons also hold licenses to practice in Colorado and Texas.
Dr. Irons and her staff pride themselves in superb customer service and a thorough and comprehensive eye examination. Our state-of-the-art examination includes glaucoma screening, dilated exam for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and neurological testing. We also provide pediatric eye exams starting at the age of one, LASIK consultations, and vision therapy.
Dr. Irons is proud to be a native New Mexican. She is married to Eric Irons and together they have four children, Adam, Justice, Mason and Hannah Grace. In addition to providing the best eye care for her patients, Dr. Irons enjoys spending her weekends with her family.

Jessica Lallement
Jessica is Dr. Irons' Office Manager and Certified Paraoptometric. She has 9 years experience in the eye care business. Jessica will make sure you receive the best products and services available.
Jessica was born in Tempe, Arizona but grew up in New Mexico. She currently resides in Edgewood, NM with her husband Daniel, their 4 dogs, Rocky, Sandy, Jake and Precious. In her down time she loves to take her dogs to the lake and spend time with her family.

Christina Bonilla
Christina is Dr. Irons' Contact Lens Specialist. She has 9 years experience, is very friendly and will remember your face.
Christina grew up in Las Vegas, NM and currently resides in Albuquerque, NM with her fiance Luis. She has 2 children William and Pyiere. She also has 4 grandchildren that she absolutely adores. In her down time she loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Amanda Lopez
Amanda is Dr. Irons' technician. She has 5 years experience and is always very helpful.
Amanda grew up in Hobbs, NM and currently resides in Albuquerque, NM. She has an Alaskan Husky dog named Niko. She is attending college at CNM to earn her Nursing Degree. In her down time she loves to play softball, swim and spend time with her family and friends.
